Editorial Policy & Methodology

Mission
PM Books Directory exists to help product managers find high-signal books faster. We prioritize practical usefulness, durable ideas, and clear guidance on who each book is for.
How Books Are Selected
- Books are added when they are materially relevant to product management, product leadership, adjacent disciplines, or modern PM workflows.
- Each entry is organized by category, topics, experience level, and target audience so readers can compare titles by use case rather than hype.
- Editorial notes, summaries, and FAQs are written to clarify what a book is best for, where it is limited, and when to read it.
- Pages are updated when metadata changes, links break, coverage expands, or a better explanation of reader fit becomes available.
How Recommendations Are Ranked
- Relevance to product management decisions and day-to-day work
- Practical frameworks, examples, and repeatable methods
- Reader fit by role, experience level, and use case
- Durability of ideas over time rather than short-term trend value
- Breadth of coverage across strategy, discovery, execution, leadership, growth, and adjacent PM skills
Update Cadence
We review pages periodically for accuracy, broken links, stale metadata, and stronger internal linking opportunities. New editorial sections are added when they improve clarity for real reader decisions.
Corrections Policy
If you spot an error, outdated link, or misleading recommendation, email hello@bestproductmanagementbooks.com with the page URL and the correction details. Factual corrections and broken-link reports are prioritized.
Affiliate Disclosure
Some outbound purchase links may be affiliate links. If a purchase is made through those links, PM Books Directory may earn a commission at no additional cost to the reader.
